Coming from cloud dictation?
Wispr Flow and friends stream your voice to a server and wrap the result in an Electron window. Dicta is built native for Windows 11, and the whole pipeline runs on your PC. Nothing you say leaves the machine.
Stuck with Windows voice typing?
Microsoft's AI cleanup (Fluid Dictation) is locked to Copilot+ PCs with a 40-TOPS NPU. Every other Windows 11 machine gets the older, plainer voice typing. Dicta is built to run its full pipeline on any ordinary Windows 11 PC, no NPU required.
Switching from a Mac?
Dicta launches on Mac, Windows and iPhone together, one license across all three. Your custom vocabulary and per-app styles are planned to travel with you, so the tool feels the same on every machine.
