Dicta Meetings listens to your calls, transcribes them, separates speakers and writes the notes, all on the machine the meeting happened on. There is no bot to invite and no cloud mode to opt out of: the audio never has anywhere else to go.
Dicta Meetings ships after the core dictation app launches, included with Pro and Team, and with Enterprise too. There is nothing extra to pay for it.

Live transcription and speaker detection
Dicta captures the meeting app's audio plus your microphone and transcribes it on-device. Speakers are separated automatically and you can rename them from your calendar's attendee list, no manual labeling.
AI meeting notes, written locally
A template matched to the kind of meeting turns the transcript into structured notes. Action items are pulled out with the speaker who owns them and a due date, and a private "My Notes" pane stays yours alongside the shared write-up.
A searchable library, not a pile of files
Search, filter, folders, favorites and tags, retention you control per meeting, export to text, find and replace across a transcript, and re-transcribe a recording in a different language after the fact.
Presentation mode
When a meeting starts, Dicta can turn on Do Not Disturb, hide desktop clutter and hide the windows you choose, then put everything back the moment the meeting ends.
Works with whatever you already use
No bot to invite, so it works in any meeting app
Cloud notetakers join your call as a guest, a named bot with an avatar that has to be invited to every meeting. Dicta does not send anything anywhere: it captures audio directly on your Mac, from your microphone and from whichever app you are already meeting in, Zoom, Teams, Google Meet or anything else that plays audio. Nothing joins the call as a visible participant.
Dicta can also read your calendar locally (title, time and attendees only) to spot a meeting starting and offer one-tap transcription, so you do not have to remember to turn it on.

Nothing about a meeting ever leaves your machine
There is no cloud mode for Dicta Meetings, not now, not later. Capture, transcription, speaker detection, notes and action items all run on the Mac the meeting happened on. Nothing is uploaded to build the transcript, and nothing is streamed to a server to write the notes.
Recording is never quiet: Dicta shows an always-visible recording indicator and, by default, notifies participants the moment capture starts, in line with all-party-consent rules such as Germany's §201 StGB. That notification is on by default, and a Team admin can require it to stay on, but can never silently turn it off.

Your meetings, readable by the AI tools you already use
The same local MCP server that makes your dictation history readable to Claude or Cursor covers your meetings too. Ask your assistant what was decided on a call, and it reads the transcript straight off your Mac, over localhost, never over the network.
For rooms where a cloud bot is not welcome
Built for conversations that cannot leave the building
Cloud meeting assistants and recording bots are increasingly turned away from legal, healthcare, government and other regulated conversations, sometimes by policy, sometimes simply because a bot joining as a visible guest is not acceptable in the room. Because Dicta never sends a bot and never sends audio off the device, it can go where those tools cannot.
